Hello from the mum behind Lady Techy
Hello. I’m the mum-of-one who runs Lady Techy.
For more than thirty years I’ve been the person friends, family, neighbours — and eventually total strangers — call when something stops working on a phone, tablet, or computer.
I spent most of my career building websites and fixing systems, but the part I’ve always loved most is helping a real person feel confident and in control of their own tech.
I have a secondary-school child who is disabled, so I know first-hand how life-changing the right device can be when it’s set up kindly and patiently — and how stressful it feels when it isn’t.
That’s why I started Lady Techy: to offer the same calm, respectful, judgment-free help I give my own child and my closest friends — only now I can come to you (or guide you over the phone) at times that suit your life.
Every tip on this blog is something I’ve used with a real person in the last few weeks. If it helps you, or someone you care about, then I’m happy.
Need a hand yourself? I always have space for a free, no-pressure 15-minute chat.
